- Pennsylvania’s Allied Health Careers Initiative (pdf)
The Hill Group conducted statewide, stakeholder participation processes including roundtables, focus groups, and surveys for each of the three initiatives. The Hill Group also collected and analyzed primary and secondary data that built support for each initiative.
The Hill Group’s innovative work with the Commonwealth resulted in a $2 million investment in nurse training. It supported the Commonwealth’s first large-scale attempt to illuminate the workforce challenges faced by multiple allied health occupations. It also helped build workforce infrastructure across the state.
The Allied Health Careers Initiative was one of the first and largest of its kind to address attraction, development, and retention of healthcare workers in a comprehensive manner across multiple (26) occupations on a state-scale. All four initiatives directly affect policy-making and funding decisions.
